Here are five email problems we get calls about all the time …

1. Power plug has been knocked out and is disconnected
2. Internet is down
3. Full email address not entered in the username box
4. Password forgotten
5. Mailbox is full

(just kidding about the power plug one!)

To save yourself the hassle of waiting for  help (or feeling like a mug when you find the power disconnected like I did recently!)

1. Unplug and replug the power
2. Unplug and wait 30 seconds then replug the modem
3. Enter your full email address
4. Use Sxipper or Keepass to remember you passwords – they are the keys to your Porche!
5. Regularly empty your mailbox on the server. If you have a forwarder configured to forward emails to your Gmail account don’t leave a copy on the server.
